Press Menu, scroll through to, and enter the Tones section. Select the Composer function and if this is the first time you've used it you'll see a blank screen. If you have previously entered a tune you will see a series of numbers and letters which, as you will know if you've done this before, correspond to the notes that the phone will play. Choose Options and scroll up to Clear screen to remove any previous tune you may have entered.
Find the code you want and then key it in, taking care not to key it in too quickly (the phone can be slow sometimes!!) or miss out any digits. If a mistake is made the tune will not sound right.
When you've keyed it in, choose Options then Tempo to select the corresponding Tempo setting. Once that's done, select Options and then Play to listen to it. If it doesn't sound right, choose Options and scroll to Clear screen to remove it and try again.
When it's done and sounds right you will need to save it. Choose Options followed by Save and then type in a name to store the tune (it is stored at the bottom of the list of default ring tones). To make that tune ring when someone calls, in the Tones section. Select the Ringing tone and scroll to the name of the tune you just saved and select OK. Don't forget that you can also assign a different ring tone to different people by choosing that option from the Phone Booksection
It is possible to have two Composer tunes on the 3210 this is done by sending yourself a tune that you have keyed in. When you've keyed the tune in, instead of saving it select Options and then Send. Type in the name of the tune, select OK and then enter your phone number and select OK again. You will then hear your 'message alert' tone (the one you hear when you've received a text message). Select Playback to hear it, Save to save it or Discard to delete it. When you save it it will be stored at the bottom of the list of default ring tones. To select it as your ring tone select Menu>Tones>Ringing Tone and scrolling up or down to it and selecting OK.
